And the prize for most aptly named company goes to. . . Yum! Brands. KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and Long John Silver's restaurants keep bellies filled at over 34,000 restaurants in 100 countries. Yum!
I think yum is a good brand to invest in, because people will always need food, so they should do well.
Good company, Nice people, but not the best business. they're losing out due to the lack of healthier foods in this day and age of "Dieting" (by the way, DOESN'T work. just exercise. stop being lazy) and the fact that people want a "quick fix" instead of the way that DOES work which is not being lazy. If people would get off their butts and stop looking for the non-existant "easy-out" maybe companies wouldn't be in this situation. (might fix America's government too.)
The Wendy???s/Arby???s group (WEN) may sell its struggling Arby's roast beef sandwich chain to focus resources exclusively on the Wendy's brand. The company said it is working with UBS Investment Bank to explore "strategic alternatives" for Arby's, including a sale of the chain. Let???s face it, sales have been down, so it is more than a possibility???it???s inevitable. The news of a possible Arby's sale follows rival Yum! Brands (YUM) announcement earlier this week that it plans to sell two smaller underperforming chains it owns -- seafood restaurant Long John Silver's and burger joint A&W Restaurants. What do think of this? Are you a fan of these restaurants?
