Nickelodeon (VIA) Kid’s Choice Awards are coming to a t.v. near you on March 27th with host Kevin James. It will be an exciting time for the tweens and teens. Noy only is it an award show that award the kid’s choices, but the announcement that Justin Bieber and Rihanna will be hitting the stage for the entertainment portions of the show is definitely a plus. A few grown-ups also managed to find themselves with nominations this year, including Sandra Bullock for favorite movie actress, Jim Carrey, Seth Rogen and Ray Romano for favorite voice from an animated movie (for A Christmas Carol, Monsters vs. Aliens and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, respectively) and Venus and Serena Williams, who were among the favorite female athlete nominees. Will you watch the Kid’s Choice Awards? Who will win and who will get slimmed?

MTV (VIA) will no longer include the words “Music Television” under its iconic logo. The logo will still feature the “M” and its dripping “TV,” but no underlying text of “Music Television.” Because of the success of Jersey Shore, The Hills and the Real World spin-offs, music is no longer MTV’s main priority. It remains to be seen if the logo change will have any further impact on MTV’s scheduling, but the removal of “Music Television” makes it harder for critics to point out that MTV’s programming isn’t really dedicated to music. The network will likely continue to schedule their Video Music Awards. Are you a fan of MTV?

MTV (VIA) announced their newest slate of upcoming television series in development, and not surprisingly anymore, none of them have anything to do with music. Leading the new shows is an animated half-hour series called The Awesomes, written by Saturday Night Live Seth Meyers, about a gang of lazy superheroes. Also a series based on the Michael J. Fox cult hit Teen Wolf, which the network said would be a “reinvention of the classic ’80s movie for today’s audience.” What do you think of these shows?

VH1 (VIA) has announced plans to air a new seven-episode series called Famous Crime Scene that will revisit the deaths of celebs set to hit the airwaves Friday, Feb. 12th. The show recreates the final moments CSI-style, as experts examine toxicology reports, blood-spray patterns, DNA evidence and more, while witnesses and investigators share their recollection of the case. The network’s other new shows include Transform Me, a series that strives to give women makeovers on the outside and inside, and Undateable, an advice show for men who are not worthy of a mate. Do you watch VH1? Do the new shows interest you?

MTV (VIA) continues its reality TV run with another serving of Jersey Shore. MTV's breakout series will return for a second season this summer with 12 new episodes. For those of you who have never seen the show, it follows a group of unruly (or is it obnoxious?) Italian Americans partying it up in South Jersey. Fans can catch up on the complete first season as MTV airs the "Jersey Bowl" marathon leading up to the Super Bowl kick-off on Sunday, Feb. 7th beginning at 9 a.m. ET/6 a.m. PT.. MTV sources say that producers have already scouted out 10 cities in the U.S. as possible new party pads for the cast. Also producers made sure the cast have valid passports because they’re looking overseas. Have you seen this “train wreck” of a show?

MTV’s (VIA) The Real World is set to return to New Orleans for the 24th season. 12 episodes of The Real World: New Orleans 2 will run on MTV, and will follow a group of young adults exploring the city trying to rebound after the huge natural disaster. MTV is hoping the new cast will somehow contribute to the rebirth of the city. The series is expected to premiere later this year. The cast won’t be revealed until closer to the season premiere. What do you think about MTV going back to New Orleans? Do you think they will make a “real” impact, or will it be Drama during Mardi Gras round 2?

MTV (VIA) is one of the leading sources for entertainment news—especially for music. MTV News has named their 2009 Man and Woman of the Year, and it’s no surprise that the list-toppers are Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga. Where were you when you heard the news? It's a question reserved for only the biggest of moments. That was the case with the death of Jackson, an event that stopped the world in its tracks. The news stunned people from New York to London to China. He was the most famous man throughout the world, even though his popularity in the US has been down; his cd sales had been good. He made his own impact on the world and Jackson’s death was an event that truly shook the world. That is why he was named MTV News Man of the Year. Lady Gaga began the year as a hot hopeful and will end it as one of the biggest pop stars in the world. She made an impact with her debut album, The Fame, topping the charts, live performances at charitable events and her live performances at award shows. At the 2009 MTV Mu
