Remember when we used to have to watch commercials on TV? Wasn't it a pain? Thanks to TiVo and their digital video recorders (DVRs) those days are in the past. Subscribing to TiVo lets you skip commercials, record the shows you want, and basically fit what you want to watch into your schedule.
Tivo can really be a helping hand, especialy when you're not going to make back home in time to watch American Idol
TiVo (TIVO) subscribers will be able to pull Internet content, music and movies onto their televisions more easily with a new device called TiVo Premiere. TiVo Premiere boxes have Web-connected capabilities to allow you access to every and any of your favorite cable or premium channel shows. The new boxes, which will be available in early April for either $299 or $499, will combine access to digital cable TV, movies, videos on the Web and music, including a planned app from Pandora online radio. The box will come with a Bluetooth-equipped remote with a slide-out keyboard that's able to operate the box from up to 30 feet away. The news release by TiVo took a cue from the Lord of the Rings franchise, calling the Premiere "the one box to rule them all." Are you a TiVo subscriber? What do you think of the TiVo Premiere box?

The TiVo product is great -- very intuitive, very user-friendly. But I have Comcast, and so I just signed up for their DVR. It's not as good, but it's just more convenient. I wonder how many people did the same.
