Ever wonder how missiles know where to go? Raytheon is one answer. The Massachusetts-based aerospace company provides state-of-the-art electronics, mission systems integration, and other a lot of other impressive services to defense companies.
Raytheon (RTN) along with Disney (DIS) have created an interactive coaster that let you be the designer. A new ride at Walt Disney World in Epcot called "Sum of All Thrills," lets kids use computer tablets to design a virtual roller coaster, bobsled track or plane ride. After inputting their designs, kids climb into a robotic carriage that uses virtual-reality technology to help them experience the ride they've created. Disney hopes the interactive nature of the Epcot ride also helps kids learn that math and science can be fun! If you can't make the trip to Orlando, don't worry. There's an online component, too, at MathMovesU.com. So We Seed thrillists, ask yourself who is likely to profit from this cool, new technology...and then tell us what you think.
