What's in your queue? With over 90,000 DVDs to choose from, Netflix likely has something for every one of its 7.5 million subscribers. By sending DVDs to customers through the mail, Netflix has made a big dent in the number of people heading to movie theaters and leaving gum on the bottom of their seats.
Verizon (VZ) and DVD kiosk company Redbox (CSTR) is teaming up on a streaming video partnership, a move that puts Netflix (NFLX) squarely in their crosshairs. The companies said that the joint venture will launch in the second half of the year. The service will offer "subscription services and more," and it will be available on multiple platforms like smartphones, tablets, and televisions. Also, the service will be available to everyone, not just Verizon customers. Details on this venture are unknown right now, but it does sound interesting. Don???t you think?

Seems like a good company to make so fast money and then sell but not a very good company to hold for a very long time.
i was really shocked a little bit because i thought netflix was going to do okay but it just seemed like it dropped! Does anyone really know why it did?

I'm glad Netflix gave up on trying to split into two companies. Renting and streaming from one source is a lot easier.
