He might not be the richest guy in the world anymore, but Microsoft's uber-geek Bill Gates brought technological ease into a majority of American homes with Windows operating systems. Microsoft develops and supports software and hardware that include operating systems, a wide range of application systems, and all sorts of electronic goodies. Microsoft doesn't forget the fun, too - the company sells the Xbox 360 video game console and the Zune digital music player.
Microsoft (MSFT) unveiled a new operating system for mobile phones to reclaim a leading position against rivals Apple (AAPL), Research in Motion (RIMM) and Google (GOOG). Microsoft 7 series will include access to Facebook, plus X-Box Live for gaming and Zune for music and photos. Its search engine Bing is also included. The smart phones will be manufactured by the likes of Qualcomm (QCOM), Samsung, LG, HTC, HP (HPQ), Dell (DELL), Sony Ericsson (SNE) (ERIC), Toshiba, and Garmin-Asus. The variety of hardware partners will provide customers with choice in a "one size does not fit all" mobile world. Some phones will have keyboards, while others will not. The phones will be available on multiple networks including T-Mobile, Sprint (S), Verizon (VZ) and quite possibly AT&T (T). Microsoft will reveal the range of phones closer to the holiday season launch. What do you think? Lately, Microsoft has been making a comeback. Will you checkout the Microsoft 7 series?

I think Microsoft will be doing well in the next couple of months since windows 7 has come it has benn alot better than Windows Vista. And with there windows 7 going to HTC phones it will help boost there stock.
Microsoft is doing well, but their processors for cellphones have recently been doing poorly. I feel this may hurt their stock in the near furture as word gets out slandering the cellphone relations of Microsoft.

As you start seeing more red than green in the next... few weeks, maybe a month or so, then it's time to sell a little bit. At least in my opinion, other than that it's doing rather decent. Not as well as others, but well none the less.
I have gained quite a bit of cash from this company. I would recommend buying into this company. I also love the products they make, Xbox for the win!
Microsoft (MSFT) and Yahoo (YHOO) control nearly a combined 30% of the search engine market—not good—so the companies decided to combine much of their Internet search business. Yahoo.com and Bing.com will maintain their own branding but search results on Yahoo.com will say "powered by Bing." Yahoo, in turn, will be responsible for getting premium advertisers. U.S. users will start to see the change three months. What do you think of this? Will it help both Microsoft and Yahoo?
i first had my doubts about investing in this company but it has actually done me alot of good it is doin really well .
