This independent film studio based in Canada makes movies, and occasionally they hit it big: Lions Gate's output includes Tyler Perry's hit Madea movies, American Psycho, Requiem for a Dream, Monster's Ball, Saw, Hotel Rwanda, and others. The company, which was founded in 1986, has a library of over 8,000 movies and 4,000 TV episodes.

The Hunger Games (LGF) won the box office for a third consecutive weekend, fending off challenges from tried-and-true romance and raunchy humor alike. Neither American Reunion, the latest installment of the American Pie franchise, nor the 3-D re-release of Titanic were able to knock Jennifer Lawrence and company from atop the box-office perch as The Hunger Games collected another $33.5 million and passed the $300 million mark. The Hunger Games ranked right behind Avatar in the all-time list of non-sequels to cross the $300 million mark in the shortest amount of time. Its estimated $302.8 million in North American receipts is more than the final totals of most of the Harry Potter movies and all of the entries in the Twilight series. It has been estimated that The Hunger Games, based on the popular young adult novel, will eventually earn at least $350 million. Have you seen the movie?
market news is saying the Hunger Games did amazing, so why is the stock down?
This is what I'm thinking too. I thought that the release of the Hunger Games, making tons of money in the box office, would raise the stock of Lions Gate. It looks like it's at a steady decline.- about 1 month ago

I think that lions gate is great. I have made a lot of money off it and I love the movies it produces.
I have always thought lions gate has had the best movie selection and TV shows and love watching Highlander and they made it possible.
TV Guide Network (LGF) has picked up to series Hollywood Moms Night, starring Alison Sweeney and Ali Landry, and Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On, starring the vocal trio. Both reality series started off as specials/backdoor pilots, which aired on the network last month. Hollywood Moms Night, which has received a five-episode order, will air in March. Wilson Phillips: Still Holding On, which has been picked up for eight episodes, will air in April in conjunction with the release of the group???s new album, Dedicated. Will you watch them? Or just one?
I love movies from Lions Gate and i am happy for investing im making a lot of money from them and that is most defiantly a good thing.
