Soap. Mouthwash. Shampoo. Baby powder. Pregnancy tests. Pain relievers. Eye drops. Toothpaste. The list of stuff made by Johnson & Johnson just goes on and on, doesn't it?

I think this company does so well because their products work and range to just about anyone.
Tylenol (JNJ) announced new, lower dosing instructions for the painkiller in an effort to reduce accidental overdose from acetaminophen, the product's active ingredient. Acetaminophen is one of the most widely used painkillers in the country with more than 50 million Americans use the drug on a weekly basis. The company hopes the new label revisions will help consumers use the drug appropriately. The new labels will appear on extra-strength Tylenol products starting in the fall. The company also plans to lower the maximum daily dose on regular strength Tylenol and other adult products containing acetaminophen starting in 2012.

Your never fully dressed without a smile. A smile is the first thing people see when they meet you. Now for individuals who like pretty things, Reach (JNJ) introduces the Different by Design collection of toothbrushes. It has an angled neck and contoured bristles to fit your mouth. But what makes it unique is the eight new limited edition to fit your own individual style. The result is a brush that is designed to clean as well as intrigue. Do you use a Reach?
After all of the recalls, the next step has been made. Drugmaker Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) has received a grand jury subpoena and is cooperating with a federal investigation stemming from multiple recalls of its popular non-prescription drugs. Johnson & Johnson said it now expects to earn between $4.65 to $4.75 a share for the full year. The company had earlier issued full-year guidance of between $4.80 to $4.90 a share. This forecast reflects the impact of recalls announced earlier this year of Tylenol, Motrin, Benadryl and other medicines, as well as the suspension of a plant in Fort Washington, Pa. Sadly, this has resulted in a 27.5% sales drop of the company's over-the-counter drugs in the US. Has this recall affected your confidence in the Tylenol brand?
