Irbt (IRBT)
iRobot makes robots accessible to everyone. How is that? They are the folks behind the Roomba automatic vacuum and scooba floor cleaner. They also make robots that sweet shops, clean pools, and clean gutters. Now you don't have to do anything at all but let this army of robots do all the work! iRobot has been at it since 1994 and they're based in Massachusetts.
I've had a Roomba since they launched in 2006. They have improved the technology significantly - and if they could get their marketing right - it would be a blockbuster product. iRobot is not well understood as a company since it is 55% retail and 45% military.
Would love an iRobot vacuum cleaner. I know, it sounds like a terrible gift, but it's actually really cool. It vacuums during the day and puts itself away! When you get home from work, your carpets and floor clean and all you have to do is make a martini and enjoy it.
