IBM, the granddaddy of computer companies, now dedicates itself to IT and business consulting for corporations around the world. It also has branches dedicated to financing, software, and outsourcing services, and it works for companies in industries like banking, insurance, aerospace, and more. IBM also created Deep Blue, the computer that beat chess great Garry Kasparov.

I must say, I didn't consider IBM till I heard about the...was it 1.5 or 15 billion investment? It gave IBM a 13$ jump from what I can tell. Quite a spike. Potential potential. :)
So far Warren Buffet has been wrong to invest in IBM. hopefully things will turn around.
well, I have never used an IBM product, but I guess they are much better than HP because they are a lot more expensive, and I've always thought that HP computers can??t even last a year, that's why they are so cheap. n___n just saying
Jeopardy is a battle of wits. Now there is a twist???the ABC (DIS) game show will set to super-smart men against a smart computer. The "Watson" IBM (IBM) computer, which has been in development for four years, will be matched against Brad Rutter and Ken Jennings, two of Jeopardy's champions. The episodes are scheduled to be aired Feb. 14 to 16. Watson beat Jennings and Rutter in a practice round last month, during which the computer fielded about half the questions and gave all correct answers. Will you watch them compete? Who do you think win?
I was nervous about IBM for a while it seemed to be struggling and not making me any money. I was about to give up on them and just take the loss and sell my shares, but things are starting to look up and I'm hoping it stays that way!
