Garmin Ltd (GRMN)
Too much of a man to admit to your girlfriend that you're lost? You won't have to worry about that with Garmin. The Kansas-based company is a leader in navigation devices, most of which use global positioning system (GPS) technology. So THAT'S what the deal with those little black boxes we've been seeing attached to people's dashboards...
These people are right, Garmins stocks are not going to improve. The applications on the phone are going to continue to be succefull and convenient. Also, people are not traveling as much because of budget limits and gas prices. :\
garmin may go down because of these phone applications, however their sock still might improve because garmin provides gps's for a large group of individuals Pilots, hunters, truckers, US forest service, logging companies etc. there is still a large market out their

i luv their gps's! my older brother has 1 so he doesnt have 2 ask his girlfriend where the heck he has 2 go...lol
That is true. However mobile applications are taking a sizeable amount of the market. Since these apps and moble phone companies have teamed up with google to make this possible Garmin's stock has dropped by 15% and Tomtom by 30%! As these phones and apps improve more and more people will use them as they are free. Just my opinion tho:)
This stock is going down. Garmin and Tomtom are now having to compete with mobile phone gps applications that are taking a share of the market. As more and people look to their mobile phones to do everything ie photos, email, games, navigation, this stock will be flat at best. Unless they come out with something innovative.
