What do Banana Republic and Old Navy have in common? GAP. GAP owns both stores, its own namesake, and get this...Piperlime brands. Never heard of it, but we gotta believe it's casually hip like its other stores. In the biz since 1969, GAP offers flash for not a lot of cash.
Rumor on the fashion block is that Diane Von Furstenberg is in talks for a collaboration with Gap Kids (GPS). Doesn???t really do much for me since I don???t have kids, but I???m sure moms will be excited to dress their kids up in DVF for Gap. Renowned for its iconic wrap dress and signature prints, DVF has grown into the global luxury lifestyle brand it is today with a complete collection of ready-to-wear, swim, accessories, footwear and handbags???and now, a line of chic and iconic Kindle covers. Inspired by DVF signature prints, these new covers are both functional and fashionable. Gap Kids had previously teamed up with Stella McCartney for a collaboration and it was a huge success. According to sources, the collection will hit stores later this year. What do you think? Bold prints and wrap dresses for kids sounds cute, no?

To introduce winners and finalists of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, which spotlights and assists emerging American designers, Gap (GPS) unveils the third installment of Gap Design Editions. This year's designers took the khaki theme and churned out everything from bucket hats to boyfriend blazers in a fresh, wearable collection. The collection is priced $39.50 to $88, the items include embellished and feathered hats ($39.50 each), a motorcycle jacket ($88), a zip-front dress ($88) and, yes, trousers. This year's Gap Design Edition collection will hit select Gap stores and online June 16 with prices ranging from $40 to $88.
