Google (GOOG) image search is getting somewhat of a facelift. The search engine is now putting up to 1,000 images on the first results page and implementing a new image-based ad format. The new look is designed to reduce the number of clicks it takes to find the image you're looking for and to provide more information about a particular image without having to click through to the result. Sounds good???now you can save time. Plus, there is also built a thumbnail preview that pops up when you hover over a given image with information such as the URL where it is located. This is simular to Microsoft's (MSFT) Bing Image Search. Now, for advertisers on Google Images Search pages, advertisers will be able to insert an image into their text ads???good for businesse, more ad revenue for Google. What do you think of this?

If online reports are to be believed???and this one may be true???Google (GOOG) could be cooking up a rival for Facebook. The plan is by bringing the maker of popular social games like "FarmVille" with them. It will be called Google Games, and will be built around some sort of partnership with casual-gaming company Zynga, is in the works and would be part of a larger social network called Google Me, which will be part of the critisized Google Buzz. The leader of the Church of Jedisismn, Daniel Morgan Jones, intend to use webcams and his camera phone to shoot himself on how he juggles his role as religious leader while living a regular life. Before you needed to have an invitation from a current user to take advantage of Voice and sign on to use the service???now, anyone in the U.S. can sign up. Voice, which premiered only a year ago, provides you with a single phone number that directs calls to your mobile, home or work phone, depending on the rules you set. YOU have the control???and it???s a good feeling, isn???t it? Google Voice calls use the minutes of a mobile phone plan. What do you think? Would you try Voice?
