Emmy winners Allison Janney and Tony Shalhoub are finalizing deals to star in Greg Daniels??? NBC comedy pilot Friday Night Dinner. The single-camera project, based on the British format, centers on a quirky family that has dinner together every Friday night. Janney will play Barbara and Shalhoub will play Gene, the matriarch and patriarch of the family. The writer for The Office is also on board. NBC (GE) has picked up a new drama pilot from the Star Trek director. The action drama from J. J. Abrams follows a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist. Now that???s the rather cryptic official description. But here???s an earlier, more exciting one with more detail???in this epic adventure thriller, a family struggles to reunite in a post-apocalyptic American landscape: a world of empty cities, local militias and heroic freedom fighters, where every single piece of technology has mysteriously blacked out ??? forever. Ohhhh. Better, yes? Will you watch?

Bryan Fuller???s Munsters reboot is getting a name change. The new title? Mockingbird Lane (the street the monster family lives on). The current NBC (GE) pilot already shifts the concept from it???s wacky half-hour sitcom roots to an hour-long drama-ish show. So if you???re going for a tonal and branding change, you might as well go full tilt and tweak the title too. Mockingbird Lane is certainly more elegant. Still, The Munsters has a lot of name recognition. Also, the characters in the reboot will shed the heavy goth makeup from the original series ??? so the family can better match everyday folks rather than looking like 1940s horror movie refugees. First-time Oscar nominee Jonah Hill will host NBC???s (GE) Saturday Night Live for the second time in his career. A source close to the show confirmed that the Moneyball star will host the March 10 episode. Will you watch?

Madonna might already have M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj on the stage with her for her big Super Bowl halftime performance on NBC (GE); now comes word that she could also be joined by Cee Lo Green. According to sources, the singer has asked him to perform with her at the Feb. 5th show. Reports that he's been flying to New York to rehearse with the pop icon and sources add that he will contribute his signature flair to some of her classic tunes. The pairing would make sense given that the new season of The Voice premieres right after the Super Bowl. The set list for the show will include new single "Give Me All Your Luvin" as well as the Madonna classics "Ray of Light," "Vogue" and "Music." What do you think about this?

Attention football fans: Madonna will play the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVI (GE) on February 5. The gig will take place just two days before Madonna's English romantic drama, W.E., hits theaters. The singer is also slated to release her as-yet-untitled 12th album in 2012 and a first single could drop around the time of the Super Bowl.

Brace yourselves for more fresh-faced triple-threats battling for Glee (NWS). Oxygen (GE) has renewed The Glee Project, its reality competition series that rewards its winner with a seven-episode arc on the Glee, for a second season, to air this summer. Season 2 will feature 14 contestants singing, dancing, and acting for a judges??? panel of behind-the-scenes players from Glee: executive producer Ryan Murphy, casting director Robert Ulrich, choreographer and co-producer Zach Woodlee, and vocal coach Nikki Anders. According to an Oxygen release, ???second season casting recently wrapped up, with thousands of hopefuls auditioning online and in a multi-city casting tour.???Excited about this renewal news?

USA Network (GE) has renewed the popular detective comedy for Season 7, bolstering its status as the cabler???s longest-running current series. Currently on its holiday break, Psych will resume Season 6, pineapples in-hand, on Wednesday, Feb. 29, at 10/9c. Are you a fan of the series?

Looks like Zooey Deschanel is the new girl in real life, too. The actress is set to make her first appearance as host of NBC???s (GE) Saturday Night Live airing Feb. 11th, will feature duo Karmin as the musical guest. And she???s not the only newbie putting on the host hat for the first time in an upcoming episode. Channing Tatum (She???s the Man, 21 Jump Street) is set to host Feb. 4 with musical guest Bon Iver.

How fitting to have a Stone on a Rock: Emma Stone will make a cameo in an upcoming episode of 30 Rock, along with Andy Samberg and Nick Cannon. In the Jan. 26th episode of the NBC (GE) comedy, Jenna (Jane Krakowski) stars in a movie from the producers of Valentine???s Day and New Year???s Eve called Martin Luther King Day. Besides Jenna, it includes the aforementioned actors from The Help, Saturday Night Live, and Up All Night, who will be seen in a trailer for the faux film. 30 Rock, which kicks off its sixth season Thursday, Jan. 12th at 8 p.m., will also feature such guest stars as James Marsden, Mary Steenburgen, Will Arnett, Denise Richards, Kelsey Grammer, and Kristen Schaal.
