Strip clubs aren't the only place that deal with dollar bills. . . The Dollar Store is the neighborhood discount dealer that has a little bit of everything to offer. Not a bad place to go, or invest in, when times are tough.
How has the economy effected the sales in the dollar stores? i would assume that it would increase. Are dollar stores worried about what might happen when the economy rises again?

Loni thinks if Family Dollar Stores Inc were a historic civilization, it would be Romans.
Matt thinks if Family Dollar Stores Inc were a Sweet Tart, it would be green apple.
By: Erica Feldkamp, WeSeed Writer While blue light specials aren't even being picked through, diamonds are as dazzling and as popular as ever. People might not be buying clothes, but they are buying diamonds. Perhaps it's all they will wear. P. Hilton would probably take this as a fashion tip, but it's not. This is a recession. Re-sesh-uhn, Paris. And the impact is falling much more heavily on the shoulders of the peasants than on the silver platters of the bourgeoisie. While some have diamonds, others are lucky to have bread. Tiffany's(TIF) doors have been revolving as gents and their damsels demand more bling. Indulgent? Yes, but this is music to the ears of the Fed Reserve who has been singing, "spend, spend, spend" in high octave for last three months. Tiffany's won't be brought to the guillotine any time soon. Tiffany & Co is planning to open six new stores in 2008 and is expecting the internationals to be shelling out top euro. Bvlgari, another leading jeweler, is giving a nod to 2008 as well. Bvlgari is debuting its online store which went live yesterday. Bvlgari is using Art Technology(ARTG) to launch its luxury Web store, costing the jewelry giant bucko-bucks. People will appreciate Web store not only because it's artistically lovely, but because it also saves face: drooling on your own desk is much more acceptable than any amount of dribble on Bvlgari's display case. Some might wonder why consumers aren't being more fiscally prudent. I, however, just want to know where to find these guys who are still willing to dole out the dollar. Speaking of the dollar, do you think even the Dollar Store will be affected by this rash of empty pockets?
