Along with representatives from Partnership for a Healthier America, First Lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to appear and express her support for the menu revamp as part of her "Let???s Move!" campaign to offer healthier options for restaurant diners and reduce childhood obesity. The specific changes include promises to reduce sodium in its offerings by ten percent over the next five years and 20 percent over the next ten years, establishing specific nutrition standards to guide the development of its children???s meals by offering more choices, and making fruits or vegetables the default side dish option.
