From flat-panel televisions to the gaming consoles to that Beverly Hillbillies DVD you just have to own, Best Buy can hook you up. The company operates stores all over the world, offering a mind-numbing array of consumer electronics, home office products, entertainment software, appliances, digital cameras and oh-so much more. Best Buy even has its own Geek Squad - nerds who can come to your home and repair your busted stuff.
Best Buy may be a technology leak???hypothetically. Best Buy (BBY) wants to know if you'd pay $1,499 for a 42-inch, high-definition Apple (AAPL) TV which uses your iPad or iPhone as a remote control. You know ... hypothetically. The gadget retailer sent a survey to some customers asking in fairly explicit detail about the long-rumored TV system???under language that says "Apple finally reinvents what a TV can do." Best Buy said the survey just asked a hypothetical question to gauge interest in possible future products. However, industry analysts almost unanimously expect Apple to enter the television market in the near future. In "Steve Jobs," a biography of the late Apple co-founder, wrote that Jobs had finally figured out a way to make a TV practical. He said it would wirelessly synch with other Apple devices. The presumably mythical TV in the Best Buy survey would use Apple's mobile operating system (iOS), which is also used by its current Apple TV system. It would also be able to download apps from the app store. Hypothetically, of course. What do you think?
Just two weeks after Best Buy (BBY) trumpeted the release of DreamWorks Animation???s (DWA) Kung Fu Panda 2 in ads listing the Blu-ray combo pack for $22.99, a new ad for the consumer-electronics retailer now lists the pack for $14.99, a 35% discount. The price reduction was prompted by strong demand for the feature at Redbox (CSTR) kiosks, where it was No. 1. So the question here, would you rather rent or own?
I double thought my choice of buying this but now i see it was well worth it
