Sure, Amazon's a great place to get books, DVDs, headsets, and other stuff on the cheap. But did you know it also operates the popular movie database website imdb.com and other websites such as: joyo.com, shopbop.com, endless.com, a9.com and alexa.com? We didn't, either.
10:54 AM Eastern Standard Time, 02/08/2010 (MidnightTrader) -- Amazon.com (AMZN)is up slightly after the company was upgraded by an analyst who sees Wall Street underestimating the online retailer's Kindle device.
Sandeep Aggarwal of Collins Stewart upgraded Amazon.com to "buy" from "hold" and set a $150 price target on the company's shares.
"We believe the eBook revolution is much bigger than we and the Street previously thought," Aggrawal said in his note to clients. The London-based financial advisory group's analyst anticipates the company to ship 3.85 million Kindles and generate $2.5 billion in related revenue. He has raised his 2010 earnings per share by 8% and 5% for 2011.
