Animal Health makes all kinds of animal health products like vaccines, food, and devices to vets and other types of companies that deal with animals.
This is a good stock to invest in because people are always taking care of their animals
I think investing in this was/is a smart idea because many people are willing to go to the ends of the Earth to care for their pets.
Sorry about the erratic buying and selling. I'm new to this and wasn't sure what I was doing

by Carlos Portocarrero, WeSeed Writer Passionate about pets? It can be tough to find a connection between that passion and investing. But pet owners keep spending tons of dough on their pooches, so naturally more and more Wall Street types are paying attention to pet owners and how they spend their money. A great example is GAMCO Investors (GBL), a company offering client investment advice and brokerage services. In June, they hosted their 6th Annual Dental and Veterinary Conference. The idea is to give their clients an opportunity to learn more about certain companies and industries they deem worthwhile. It's worth a closer look at the pet companies they invited to participate. It's worth noting that GAMCO is run by Mario Gabelli, who is a huge proponent of value investing, meaning he's out there looking for solid companies selling for less than what they're worth. It's a popular way of investing - even Bill Gates has been buying GAMCO's stock recently. The CEOs and CFOs for the following companies will attend and present their company story to investors and GAMCO clients: • Animal Health International (AHII) has been around since 1954 offering products, supplies and consulting services to their pet-industry clients. A couple of analysts have recently upgraded their stock - usually a good sign. • MWI Veterinary (MWIV): They distribute all kinds of pet products to veterinarians across the country. We're talking everything from antibiotics and testing kits to syringes and tick medication. They even do pet-cremation if pet cemeteries give you the creeps. • Pet DRx (VETS) is behind a network of vet hospitals in California. They're out to revolutionize the vet industry by applying the spoke-and-hub distribution model to the vet world. That means having one central hospital with smaller clinics "borrowing" more advanced services and equipment from it. Kind of how the public-library system works. Sometimes finding a diamond in the rough yields a huge reward, but it's also a lot of work. So when an investment firm has a conference with several pet companies attending, why not check it out? If you add what you know to what Wall Street knows, good things can happen. See what the WeSeed community has to say and figure out if these "pet" stocks should be on the end of your investing leash.
